gratsu week, day 3. first time

Gray’s pov:

I walked to the bar, greeting Mira as I sat down. I didn’t really feel like joining my teammates for some reason… that reason being Natsu.

I watched as Lucy was talking about something with Levy which seemed to make Natsu confused… idiot. I could almost hear that flame-brain ask another stupid question. At the same moment I thought that, Lucy flushed bright red and Levy kept staring at him.

‘’J…Just go ask Gray!’’ Lucy yelled while pointing in my direction. Oh great, so now it was MY problem. The fire mage turned his head and smiled brightly as he ran up to me, letting himself fall in the seat next to me.

‘’Gray?’’ he asked with those puppy eyes of his… damn he was cute…

‘’What.’’

‘’Lucy and Levy were talking about something weird.’’ Yeah right of course they
were. ‘’What is yaoi?’’

This would be the perfect time to explain my problem with Natsu. Yes, I’ll admit. The great Gray Fullbuster is as gay as can be. And just happens to be stupid enough to fall in love with that flame-for-brains. And now he comes up to me, asking about yaoi? God must really hate me….

‘’You don’t know?’’ I was just… shocked. Who would want to answer that! But he kept on staring at me, the innocence himself. I sighed as I gave in.

‘’J…Just some perverted stories those two read…’’ did I just stutter? And more importantly… did I just say that?!

‘’What about?’’ did he TRY to KILL me!

‘’What, What?’’ ugh he just wouldn’t shut up…

‘’…Gay love…’’ DID HE HAVE TO MAKE ME SAY THAT, UGH!... oh god, he looked weird.

‘’Natsu, you really are a total idiot, you know that!’’ I just snapped. I didn’t even have the energy to make fun of him. I looked away from him, bangs hiding my eyes. I just couldn’t meet his eyes anymore. I felt my cheeks flush a little. And he, he kept on staring at me with those huge eyes… ready to yell at me I guess. But when I gathered all my courage to look back at him, he just sat there. Shocked.

‘’Sorry, he mumbled, facing the ground.

‘’It’s love between two.. boys…’’ I felt bad, stupid, like an idiot. All that and more. But all I could do right now was answer his question. He looked up again, studying my face before accepting my unspoken apology.

‘’Why is that weird?’’ I couldn’t believe what I just heard… ‘’I mean, I love you guys, don’t I?’’ smile still in place.

‘’That’s different.’’ I swear I could hear my heart snap right that moment.

‘’Wh..’’ he couldn’t finish his question as I stood up.

‘’I don’t mean family love Natsu. Get that through your thick head for once.’’ I felt like dying that moment, but I just walked away. Away from the busy guild… and Natsu.


Natsu’s pov:


I just watched as Gray walked away. Feeling a sharp pain in my chest the moment his mask broke revealing… that awful pained expression…

Why did it hurt so much?
